Tanker Talisman, under US, UK and EU sanctions, due to bring Russian diesel to the US, Newsmax reports
Talisman, a Russian tanker under US, UK and EU sanctions, is expected on the US East Coast on 9 November with Russian diesel, Newsmax reports, citing the Financial Times. It is one of three vessels due to deliver about 140,000 tonnes in total, the first cargoes authorised under President Donald Trump's agreement with Vladimir Putin to exempt Russian diesel temporarily from sanctions. According to the report, the Greek-owned Agioi Fanendes should reach New York on 7 November with about 40,000 tonnes, and the Hong Kong-owned Leruo, sanctioned by Britain, the EU and Canada, the Atlantic coast on 11 November. Senator Thom Tillis and senior Democrats have warned businesses that importing Russian diesel could bring criminal or civil liability.
