US blocks four Russian Caspian ships over Iranian missile deliveries

The US Treasury sanctioned Iran Air, Iranian logistics firms and ten individuals on 10 September in response to Iran's delivery of close-range ballistic missiles to Russia, and identified four Russia-flagged vessels as blocked property. The ships, Boris Kustodiev, Port Olya-3, Port Olya-4 and Kompozitor Rakhmaninov, are owned or operated by MG-FLOT and regularly cross the Caspian Sea, Treasury says. It alleges that Port Olya-3 was used by Russia's defence ministry to carry the missiles from Iran. MG-FLOT's chairman, Dzhamaldin Pashaev, was also designated. The State Department designated three entities and identified five more vessels, and partner countries announced steps to bar Iran Air from their territory.
