US sanctions seven vessels moving Iranian oil and LPG for Houthis and Hizballah
The US Treasury sanctioned vessels, shipping companies and individuals on 15 August that it says moved Iranian oil and liquefied petroleum gas to Yemen and the United Arab Emirates for the Houthis, and to China for Lebanese Hizballah. The designated ships include the Palau-flagged LPG Om, Raha Gas and Divine Power, as well as Fengshun, Victoria, Lady Liberty and Parvati, which are managed by Hong Kong-based Kai Heng Long Global Energy. Indian captain Arif Ibrahim Khot and companies in the UAE and Malaysia were also designated. Acting Under Secretary Bradley T. Smith said those financing these groups 'will be held to account'.
