Eleven-nation monitoring team says Russia supplied North Korea with oil far above UN cap

The Multilateral Sanctions Monitoring Team, set up by 11 countries including the US, UK, Japan and South Korea after a UN panel was disbanded, published its first report on North Korean-Russian military cooperation, the Express & Star reports, carrying Associated Press. The 29-page report, covering January 2024 to April 2025, says Moscow supplied refined petroleum products to Pyongyang far in excess of the yearly cap set by UN sanctions. Most of the report concerns arms transfers and Russia's training of North Korean troops.
