UK adds 18 ships and a British shadow fleet procurer to its sanctions

The UK sanctioned 18 more shadow fleet ships on 20 May, together with enablers including John Michael Ormerod, a British national it says procured vessels for Russia's shadow fleet, and two Russian tanker captains. The package also targets 46 financial institutions and Russia's deposit insurance agency. The government said it was working with partners to tighten the oil price cap, and noted the Prime Minister had announced 110 shadow fleet sanctions earlier in the month.
