Iran's seaborne crude exports remain at zero in October, Vortexa data show
Iran's seaborne crude exports stayed at zero through 5 October, according to Vortexa data reported by Iran International, after collapsing in the second week of September from a 14-day average of 230,000 barrels a day at the start of that month. Vortexa puts Iranian crude held on tankers at sea at 83 million barrels, 43 million of them trapped west of the Strait of Hormuz, which it attributes to the US blockade. Iran's LPG exports fell 48% from the previous month to their lowest since at least January 2023. Vortexa says combined high-risk exports from Iran, Russia and Venezuela averaged 4.73 million barrels a day in September, down from 6.39 million a year earlier, with Russia accounting for 80%.
