Houthi missile damages tanker Andromeda Star carrying Russian oil to India
A Houthi missile attack caused minor damage to the tanker Andromeda Star about 14 nautical miles south-west of Al Mukha, Yemen, on 26 April, The Maritime Executive reports. The ship had been signalling that it was sailing from Russia to India. US Central Command said none of the crew were injured and the vessel continued its voyage. An earlier missile exploded very close to a second tanker, the Maisha, which was not hit. The Andromeda Star's owners are registered in the Seychelles following a sale in November 2023. Bloomberg had reported that the tanker presented false insurance documents to Danish authorities after a collision off Denmark in March.
