Tanker Andromeda Star in collision off Skagen while heading to Russia

The 15-year-old tanker Andromeda Star was involved in a collision with an unnamed vessel off Skagen on 2 March, the Danish Maritime Authority confirmed to Bloomberg, according to The Maritime Executive. The ship was in ballast and bound for a Russian port to load oil. It anchored south of Copenhagen until 16 March and then moved to an anchorage beside the ship repair yard in Odense. The tanker was sold to undisclosed buyers four months earlier and has an Indian manager, Margao Marine Solutions. The outlet says no P&I insurer is listed in the ship's Equasis record and that it does not appear in International Group databases.
