EU 13th package targets firms shipping North Korean arms to Russia
The EU adopted its 13th package of sanctions against Russia on 23 February, two years into the full-scale war, taking its listings past 2,000, the European Commission said. The new listings include 10 Russian companies and individuals that the Commission says were involved in shipping North Korean armaments to Russia, as well as North Korea's defence minister. The package also adds 27 Russian and third-country companies, among them firms in China, India, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Thailand and Sri Lanka, to the list of those supporting Russia's military-industrial complex, and targets a Russian logistics company and its director over parallel imports of prohibited goods.
