Russia detains Greek-owned tanker Green Admire after it leaves Estonian port
Russia detained the Liberia-flagged, Greek-owned tanker Green Admire as it left the Estonian port of Sillamäe on an agreed route through Russian waters, Estonia's Foreign Ministry said on 18 May. The route had been set jointly by Russia, Estonia and Finland for safety reasons. Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said Russia continues to behave unpredictably and that allies had been informed. Estonia said all Sillamäe traffic would now use only Estonian waters. The detention came days after Estonia's attempt to inspect the tanker Jaguar.
