Russian crude transfers shift to waters off Morocco's Nador, Bloomberg says

Ship-to-ship transfers of Russian crude have found a new site off the Moroccan city of Nador on the Mediterranean coast, near the Spanish enclave of Melilla, according to ship-tracking data compiled by Bloomberg. The supertanker Rolin was receiving Urals crude there from the smaller tanker Serendi, and two other tankers, the Ocean AMZ and Sea Fidelity, had also arrived. All three smaller ships loaded about 730,000 barrels of Urals at the Baltic port of Primorsk in May. Bloomberg says Greek naval drills since early May have severely impeded transfers in the Laconian Gulf. The IMO has called cargo switching in open oceans a "dangerous practice".
