Third shadow tanker in a month hit by suspected Ukrainian drone boats

The suezmax tanker Dashan (IMO 9299666), formerly Mianzimu, was hit near the engine room by at least two drone boats in the Black Sea while sailing empty towards Novorossiysk, The Maritime Executive reports. A Ukrainian official told Ukrinform the SBU and navy were responsible. The outlet describes the ship as stateless and flying a false flag; it is under EU and UK sanctions and was previously linked to Gatik Ship Management. It was the third such strike on a foreign-flagged tanker within a month.
