Ukraine claims drone strikes on sanctioned tankers Kairos and Virat off Turkey

Ukraine's SBU security service and navy said they used a new version of the Sea Baby naval drone to attack the tankers Kairos and Virat in the Black Sea off Turkey, The Maritime Executive reports. Kairos caught fire and Turkish responders fought the blaze overnight; all 25 crew were evacuated. Virat suffered minor damage and was towed towards port. Turkey's transport minister said the explosions were caused by external interference. Both Gambia-registered, Chinese-owned ships are under sanctions over Russian oil trade.
