Ukraine's drone forces claim 300 shadow fleet tankers hit in eleven weeks
Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces have struck 300 Russian shadow fleet tankers since their campaign began on 6 July, commander Robert Brovdi said, according to the Kyiv Post. He put the tally at 134 in the Sea of Azov and 166 in the Black Sea, up from 159 in the first twelve days and 218 by early August. Brovdi announced the figure on Facebook. The Kyiv Post says the campaign targets ageing tankers moving Russian oil around Western sanctions and the price cap. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov described the attacks as piracy in July, a label Brovdi rejected.
