UK sanctions 135 tankers and the firm registering shadow ships under Gabon's flag

The UK sanctioned 135 oil tankers it says have carried $24 billion of cargo since the start of 2024, as it and the EU lowered the crude oil price cap. Also listed was Intershipping Services, which the government says registers shadow fleet vessels under Gabon's flag, and Litasco Middle East, which it links to Lukoil and accuses of moving large volumes of Russian oil on shadow fleet ships. Foreign Secretary David Lammy said the measures would further dismantle the fleet.
