South Korea sanctions two Russian ships and seven North Koreans over arms and fuel trade
South Korea has sanctioned two Russian vessels, the Maia-1 and the Maria, which it says shuttled between Russia and North Korea carrying military supplies, Korea JoongAng Daily reports. Seven North Koreans were also listed, among them Han Hyok-chol, head of Taeryong Trading in Vladivostok, who is accused of involvement in importing Russian diesel, and Rim Yong-hyok, said to have negotiated arms deals with Wagner Group members. Five others are accused of working illegally for IT firms in Vladivostok. The Foreign Ministry said the measures were coordinated with friendly countries and were expected to strengthen international sanctions networks.
