UK sanctions firms over Russia–North Korea 'arms-for-oil' trade
Britain has imposed sanctions on companies it accuses of facilitating an "arms-for-oil" trade between Russia and North Korea, Reuters reports. Those targeted include Paekyangsan Shipping, which the UK says moves petroleum between the two countries, and Toplivo Bunkering Co, which it says lets vessels bunker at Russia's Vostochny port, together with its director Aleksey Vorotnikov. Vostochnaya Stevedoring Co, a Russian cargo services provider, was also listed. The measures include asset freezes, transport sanctions and travel bans. Foreign Secretary David Cameron accused President Putin of breaching UN sanctions that Russia itself voted for. The action followed related US sanctions, according to Reuters.
