Russia ships fuel on tankers blacklisted by the EU, Reuters reports

Russia has started using vessels on the EU sanctions list to export oil products, according to Reuters, citing LSEG data and market sources. The Barbados-flagged Saga, formerly NS Spirit, loaded about 33,000 tonnes of dark oil products at Vysotsk on 8 August and was heading for the Suez Canal. The Kavia, formerly Hana, was loading diesel at Primorsk. The EU added 27 vessels to its list in June. Market sources told Reuters the listed ships cannot call at EU ports but may freely discharge elsewhere. Other renamed EU-listed tankers, including Serenade, N Cerna and Success, were reported drifting in the Sea of Marmara.
