Peskov refers question on US plan for sanctioned tankers to Washington, Interfax reports

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov declined on 20 October to say whether a US plan to let sanctioned shadow fleet tankers carry oil legally could work for Russia, Interfax reports. Asked about remarks by US Energy Secretary Chris Wright, who said such tankers could legally carry oil once bought by an investor, Peskov said the question should be put to the American side and the US Department of Energy, according to the agency. He added, Interfax reports, that Russia had been, was and would remain a reliable supplier of energy to world markets.
