Tanker Louise 1, which Ukraine linked to Russia's shadow fleet, hit by limpet mines in the Strait of Hormuz, Reuters reports
A small boat attached two explosive devices to a tanker in the Strait of Hormuz on 29 October off Oman's Khasab, causing an engine-room fire that briefly disabled the ship, UK Maritime Trade Operations said, according to Reuters as carried by gCaptain. UKMTO said the crew were safe and the fire was put out. Reuters' maritime security sources named the vessel as the Panama-flagged Louise 1, operated by Panama-based Aquarius Maritime Ventures. Ukraine's SBU security service has said the ship carried Russian oil as part of Moscow's shadow fleet, and Ukrainian naval drones struck it in the Black Sea in July, Reuters said. It was not immediately clear who carried out the attack.
