Kallas proposes new shadow fleet listings for EU's 22nd Russia sanctions package, TASS reports

EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas told the European Parliament in Strasbourg on 21 October that she had proposed new listings aimed at further curbing Russia's revenues, covering the shadow fleet, the energy sector and banks, TASS reports, citing the parliament's broadcast of her remarks. According to the agency, the proposals are meant for the EU's 22nd sanctions package and would also target sectors and entities in third countries. TASS says Kallas did not indicate when the package might be adopted, which requires the unanimous backing of member states, and notes that the package had earlier been expected in September.
