Cameroon pledges to strike shadow fleet tankers from its register
Cameroon's government has promised to deregister all shadow fleet tankers after representations from Brussels, Hellenic Shipping News reports. Citing Windward data, the report says more than 120 sanctioned tankers fly Cameroon's flag, making it the second-largest registry for sanctioned tankers after Russia. Comoros and Gambia have together removed more than 130 tankers, while Sierra Leone has grown in 18 months to about 10 per cent of sanctioned ships.
