At least 50 laden Iranian tankers stuck off Iran's coast under US blockade, UANI says

The US naval blockade has left at least 50 loaded tankers backed up along Iran's coast, according to the nonprofit United Against Nuclear Iran, Bloomberg reports in an article republished by gCaptain. The group says empty ships are waiting at anchorages across the Indo-Pacific instead of returning to Iran, including 20 Iran-flagged vessels off Sri Lanka. Inside the Gulf, at least 11 laden tankers were anchored east of Kharg Island, Iran's main export terminal, with five more further south, and none was seen loading at Kharg on 5 October. Bloomberg notes that a US military tally puts the number of vessels redirected under the blockade at 130.
