Supertankers that once carried Venezuelan crude move into Gulf trades as the US delists shadow ships, Bloomberg reports

Four very large crude carriers that previously carried Venezuelan oil have switched to Middle East trades, Bloomberg reports, as relayed by EnterpriseAM and Oilprice.com. Two are already exporting from the Persian Gulf and two are sailing from South America towards the Gulf of Oman. According to the report, Centuries, which the US Coast Guard boarded in the Caribbean last December while it carried Venezuelan crude, loaded Iraqi oil this month and transferred it to another tanker in the Gulf of Oman. Another supertanker, once sanctioned over Venezuelan trades and later removed from the US blacklist, entered the Gulf of Oman on Sunday. Maritime lawyer Benjamin Robinson said blocked vessels were being delisted or licensed for certain transactions.
